1. Remove all of the waste from the holding tank.
2. Disconnect the rainwater outlet hose and drain the tank completely so that there is no standing water in it when you reattach it later.
3. Fill your holding tank with fresh water and pump out any standing water or air that may be trapped in the top of the tank by using a garden siphon hose (sold at most hardware stores). This will prevent air from entering your tank when you reattach it later on.
